Day Off
August 4, 2011
So Christi and I spent the day together. We were able to find her a bike, do a little shopping, and eat some crab legs. While riding our bikes around the neighborhoods surrounding hers it reminded me of a book that i read the first page. I think it was called portrait of an American Girl, or something along those lines. This chapter captured what it meant to bike with a good friend while laughing and talking. My bike ride with Christi reminded me of the book and of youth. I know I keep writing like I am so old, but sometimes I simply feel that way.
The rain kissed us lightly as we biked through a circular neighborhood. It was warm and a little humid but the light kisses of the rain falling in our eyes and all over our legs and bodies. I felt I could’ve been anywhere else in the world, but where we were was perfect!
We later ate crab legs and stuffed ourselves silly! After, we returned we watched Toddlers in Tiaras and wondered what the girls grow up to be like, and other various things.
